Refuse to Live in Fear
REFUSE TO LIVE IN FEAR. “Perfect love casts out fear!” 1 John 4v18. When God says “Fear not” 365 times in the Bible, He is basically telling you - You’re going to have to deal with FEAR! But God’s answer is - “Perfect love drives out all fear!” NLT. God’s love is the ONLY perfect love, not yours. God loves you perfectly, He walks with you, He defends you, He supports you, He imparts His love to you - that’s what casts out fear!
Also, He strengthens your faith, so you rise above your fears. When fear comes knocking on your door and finds you full of faith, it cannot enter. That’s why we need to meditate on God’s Word and fill our hearts and minds with faith. Don’t become discouraged if you sometimes fail - Bible says, “we WALK by faith.” How did you learn to walk? By getting up one more time than you fell down!
When you face situations when fear seeks to raise its head, the Holy Spirit will come to your aid, and enable you to speak fear-defying words of faith. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is RISING ABOVE YOUR FEAR by faith and CASTING OUT that fear, strengthened by His mighty PERFECT LOVE!
