God is the mighty PROVIDER!
God is the mighty PROVIDER, the great JEHOVAH JIREH. But In Psalm 78v19, the people of Israel questioned the power and ability of God to provide - “Can God spread a table in the wilderness?" They also demanded “He split the rock and water gushed out, but can he also give us food?" The psalmist said this was - “putting God to the test!" They sinned and rebelled against the Most High.
They knew God was the all-powerful, caring, faithful God who opened up the Red Sea, and then brought them into the promised land. But because everything was not to their personal liking and preference, they criticised God and spoke against Him. Whatever your circumstances, do not criticise or blame God. God loves you and provides for you as a loving father does for his children!
God is able to provide and meet all the needs of His people. "But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Israel found out that God DID spread a table in the wilderness - for 40 years, with manna and quails, meat sandwiches! There was no lack in the power and ability of God.
Whatever your circumstances, God is worthy of worship. Paul and Silas found that as they praised and worshipped God, it opened up the way for miracles. The prison doors flew open and their chains fell off. The Mighty Jehovah Jireh met their needs. Keep Praising the Lord!
