DON’T SETTLE FOR BETTER!

DON’T SETTLE FOR BETTER! — In Mark 8 there is a very unusual healing, but it is a special Word for us today. Some people come to Jesus bringing a blind man asking Jesus to heal him. Jesus spits on the man’s eyes then lays hands on him asking “Can you see anything now?” The man says “Yes, I can see people, but I can’t see them clearly, they look like trees walking around!” Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes AGAIN, and his eyes were opened, his sight was completely restored, and he could see everything clearly. Mark 8v25 NLT.

When Jesus first prayed for the blind man, he was a bit BETTER. But Jesus didn’t SETTLE FOR BETTER, He prayed AGAIN. He laid hands on him AGAIN. It maybe you are praying for your healing, or the healing of a friend or family member, and they say they feel a bit BETTER. Don’t SETTLE FOR BETTER! Jesus wanted a complete healing so the man could see clearly. Another occasion a man was made “EVERY WHIT WHOLE!”  Wholeness is God’s intention. Jesus did a perfect work! Celebrate the better, but don’t SETTLE FOR BETTER!

For you, it may be some other type of personal problem and there has only been a partial answer to prayer. There is improvement, it’s BETTER, but don’t settle for BETTER. Rejoice if things improve but don’t settle there. PRAY AGAIN — that’s what Jesus did. To pray again is not to show a lack of faith but to follow the example of Jesus, believing for ‘WHOLENESS’!
