The Joy of the Lord
“The JOY of the LORD is your strength!" Jesus was the most joyful person when on earth. In Luke 10v21 “ At that time Jesus, FULL of JOY through the Holy Spirit said ‘I PRAISE YOU FATHER, LORD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH." Just as Jesus couldn’t help but praise His Father, this JOY supplied to you will inspire you to continually praise the Lord! I understand “Jesus FULL of JOY", can mean “Jesus Jumped for JOY!" His JOY was ecstatic!
This “JOY of the LORD" - is a vital treasure from Jesus - Guard it, Don’t lose it! Beware, the devil will try to steel your JOY. He will speak negative words and thoughts to make you depressed and weaken your resolve to serve the Lord. Don’t quote this verse glibly. There is a great truth here that will bring you through the most difficult of circumstances in victory praising the Lord!
Remember, this ‘JOY of the Lord' does not come from things or activities, but from a person — the Lord Jesus Himself! Keep praising Jesus and your JOY WILL INCREASE! Jesus said “I have told you these things so that you will be filled with MY JOY. Yes, your JOY WILL OVERFLOW." The JOY of the LORD is YOUR STRENGTH!
