Come BOLDLY to the THRONE!
“Let us come BOLDLY to the THRONE of GRACE, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.” If King Charles sent you a message that he wanted you to come to the Palace, he wanted to speak with you and had a message for you. You would make time in your schedule and feel highly honoured to come to him. Well, the truth is, the KING of KINGS wants you to come to His throne. Why? Because He has something important to say to you. We should come with awe and expectancy!
How do we approach God’s throne? — “Let us come BOLDLY to the throne of grace”, not because of who we are naturally but because the blood of Jesus makes us worthy to come into His presence. NEXT, come with a RIGHT attitude of heart and spirit. Jesus said, when we come if we remember we have a grudge or a wrong spirit against another, put it right first and then come!
NEXT, come ready to LISTEN. Don’t do all the talking about your needs, make time to listen for His voice. As you read the Word, a verse or even a word will jump off the page as God speaks. NEXT, get rid of all distraction and other NOISE - you have come into the secret place, God is wanting to speak. Samuel said, “Speak Lord your servant is listening.” NEXT, remember of the 8 billion people on this planet, God speaks YOUR language, He knows exactly what you need to hear. He has the answer to your individual need. Conclude by giving Him praise!
