How would you describe what God has done for you? (3)

Have you ever been lost on a journey? The definition of lost is you don't know where you are. You may still know where you are supposed to be going but don't know how to get there. Jesus has come to seek and save the lost!

You can't be truly freed from slavery unless you understand you are a slave. God said, "I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians" (Ex. 6:7). Do you understand that you were a slave to sin, it was your master and you had to obey it (Rom. 6). "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness" (Rom. 6:18). Now here is an interesting thought, we tend to describe Sin as an act we commit. The Bible talks about it as something you are 'in', you were born into it. Being born into it isn't your fault, the Israelites were born into slavery, it wasn't their choice. In the same way we are born into sin. Despite this, Jesus can save you out of it! It doesn't matter how bad your individual 'sins' are, Jesus is able to deliver you from 'Sin' entirely! Joshua commanded that Rahab be brought out of Jericho (Josh. 6:22) Rahab was an immortal woman, living in an immoral city and they knew that God was going to destroy the city. It didn't matter, once she was brought out her past life was no longer relevant. God saves you by bringing you out of Sin and putting you onto Christ!
